Newborn portrait session captures your baby first few days after birth. This will allow us to photograph your baby still in original “womby” shape and their tiny size as they were born. So timing is KEY component of successful newborn session because babies grow and change FAST. It is ideal to have newborn sessions when your baby is between 5-14 days old, when they are still in super sleepy & curly stage. After 2 weeks, they are bigger, more alert and like to spread out, which may cause difficulty in certain poses.
Newborn sessions can take 1-4 hours depending on your package selection and condition of your baby. Much of the time is spent getting baby into a deep sleep, setting up props, soothing, feeding, changing diapers and cleaning up messes.
Our newborn photography consists of posing on light or neutral colored backgrounds with little outfits, tiny accessories or props. And our posing style is simple - keeping the baby in a more comfortable / organic pose that is timeless. We want the main emphasis of the portrait to be the baby itself. We like to involve you in the styling of the session, so if you have any preferred color tones or props you would like us to bring along, please let us know.

There is the utmost importance placed on the safety of your baby. We will hold and care for him or her as our own. We carefully select props and linens to ensure they are appropriate and safe for delicate newborns. We are also updated on all vaccines including annual flu vaccine and Tdap.
Please contact us about a month before your due date. Once you book with us, we will reserve time around your due date so the session is guaranteed a space no matter when your baby arrives.
